WHAT     IS     PPD?


 PPD  means  personal progress development. It is  a course which guide and support undergraduate students to develop their personal skills,attitudes and gregariousness. As we are going to be professionals in near future we should have soft skills. Through this session we can learn many more soft skills.

We are afraid to talk infront of people and express our ideas to others , specially in English.But through this session we were able to improve our speaking ability.Miss Sarasi make a great effort for that. She does many more speaking activities like cabbage  game which are more funny. Eventhough we made lots of mistakes we were abled to talk in English.


Qualities which improve by doing team works are very helpful when we work in the society. We should listen to others, we should take leaderships, we should plan and express our ideas when we are in a team.


It was really funny to do activities in the PPD session both indoor and outdoor.

There are programs to develop personal skills like

                                   creativeness

                                   presentation  skills

                                   personality  development

                                           If we improve our these skills, then we can  achieve our goals easily. So this  personal progress development is a good session to participatte. It will help us in the future as we work as professionals.

Normally I do not get selfies. Because, I do not like take photos. Why I feel like that.I recognize it this PPD session. Can you guess how I recognize it from PPD session. Our last PPD session about self reflection.                                     What is self reflection?                                    Is it a simple thing?                                           Self Expertise Every human has a expertise of at least one field.Someone has several expertise in several areas.I am expert of watching television. I can watch any type of movies like horror,comedy, Sinhala , Tamil, English.  We were separated for four groups and there were five and six members for each group.Then we have to introduce a product that combine three expertise areas in one group.Our team decided to combine hand made things,reading and ridding motor bikes.We introduced a eye glass cover.But it was not really a good combination of those three expertise areas. Last PPD session Sarasi madam demonstrated us how to write a CV. First we should know why we want a CV. CV is represent our works and qualifications. We are in competitive world. So everyone try to pass others. So CV is a main tool use for compete with others. If it is a good CV then we may get opportunity. Therefore CV is a main bullet point of our profession. First we must introduce our selves. That means we must include our name, address, available contact number and our photo. There are some important points when we include a photo. If you do not like to insert a photo to CV it is not a big deal. But if you add one it can represent your personality before you meet. Also we have to choose correct type of photo.
